Synopsis :
Jann Gallois is a dancer and a choregrapher. She is 29 and has as much energy as a bulldozer. Her body is her work tool. Always searching the right movement, she twists, folds, stretchs and breaks her body. But memories come back and this over-stressed body reminds ancient pains and wounds. How this dancer can live with her body while considering that she is "crossed by others and by herself" ?
Between this head which searchs and this body so difficult to manage, Jann searchs for her own balance.
The director
Claire Juge
After studying cinema in Paris and Montréal, Claire Juge gets specialized in documentary films with a professional Master in Aix-en-Provence. With this training, she made her first documentary short film : Parades. Selected in several film festivals in France and Germany, the film received the Press Award at the Un poing, c'est court Film Festival. She develops today the project À travers Jann while making documentries for televisions'orders and continuing writing new projects. The films she could work on questionned our relationship with body. This question occupies a huge place in her work as a director or an assitant.
